What is "An Evening of Miracles"?

An Evening of Miracles is more than just a charity event, it is a meaningful, inspirational and truly enjoyable experience; a time for community leaders across South Carolina to come together in the shared sense of urgency to win the battle against a terrible disease affecting tens of thousands across the country.  It is a Charity Gala benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (www.cff.org) - a 501(c)(3) non profit organization.

A local caterer will be providing hors d’oeuvres and a delicious sit down dinner.  There will be silent and live auctions, live music and entertainment, and an inspiring speaker and presentation.

Each day hundreds of children across South Carolina battle for their lives against a terrible genetic disease with no cure.  This sometimes slow, ever progressive disease is called Cystic Fibrosis.  Today, Cystic Fibrosis is fatal, but with your help, we can make progress toward a cure.

The medical community is continuing its effort to develop more effective treatments for Cystic Fibrosis (CF).  This research is slowly paying off.  Today, a child with CF has an expected lifespan of approximately 30 years.  While this is a great leap from the 1950’s when CF children typically did not live to see their 3rd birthday, it is not good enough.  We must continue this vital research that is prolonging the lives of children.
